Legacy Grants
Passed by a statewide vote in November 2008, Minnesota’s Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment provides funding for projects
benefiting the outdoors, clean water, parks and trails, and arts and cultural
heritage.
Grant money is available to groups looking to preserve significant historic and
cultural resources. Projects vary and include History Projects and Historic
Preservation Projects. Specifically: Collections Care and Management
(Three-dimensional Objects, Archives and Library Materials, and Reproduction
for Public Use); Museum and Archives Environments; Oral History; Interpretive
Programs; Research and Publications; Digital Conversion and Access; Historic
Properties (Acquistion, Pre-Development, Restoration/Preservation, Building
Systems and Accessibility); Survey and Inventory; Evaluation; National Register
Nominations; Heritage Tourism and Public Education; and Preservation Planning.
